The Countdown has begun…
The Christmas tree is all set up and pretty. Remember that time when I wrote that I needed a place to put the Christmas presents that’s not the dining room table? Yea…well…we had no where else to put the tree…so we had to disassemble the dining room table and put the tree there.
We’re also bad at waiting until Christmas to trade presents. Last year, we made it all the way to Christmas Eve before we finally caved and traded all the presents. This year…we caved two nights ago and traded one present each. Mike bought me the incredibly amazing Friends complete box set - all ten seasons in a fancy red box. That entitled him to open two presents from me because they’re small. He’s enjoying learning card tricks in the new magic card trick set I bought him, and is looking forward to wearing his new Zildjan shirt. I thought it was only fair that I bought him a new one, since I borrowed his old one two years ago and never gave it back.
Luckily, we had enough self-control to postpone the rest of the present trading until Christmas.
In a few days, we’ll be heading to GA to visit my family, and then we’ll be back in town in time for Christmas dinner at Mom J’s.
