Update
Well, it’s been awhile. We’ve been busy. We spent some time in Georgia with my parents pre-Christmas, and that was very nice. Had a get-together with old friends, and it was more fun than I expected. We did “Christmas” on the 22nd with my family. Mom made lasagna and we opened presents and threw wrapping paper all over the living room. Everyone enjoyed their presents - especially Mom, since we bought her a Tivo.
We spent Christmas Day with Mike’s family here in Mass. The kids were adorable opening their presents. Well, Andrew was adorable. Jon just tried to eat the wrapping paper. He seemed to like the Glow Worm we bought him though. And Andrew loved all the Star Wars stuff.
The engagement is going well. We’ve started wedding planning, deciding on little details and whatnot. In fact, the day after we got engaged, I went to the store and bought some wedding magazines. The day after that we went to Barnes & Noble (my favorite place in the world) and bought wedding books - organizers, lists of things to do, and a guide to inexpensive shopping for the wedding. *sigh* I was in organizational heaven.
We set a tentative date, depending on finding a location that we like that’s available - February 29th, 2008. It’s 14 months from now but it’s such a cool date. Plus, it gives us plenty of time to plan.
Today we’re going to look at a wedding location in Salem. Next week there’s a place in Foxboro we’re going to. We’ve already ruled out the State Room in Boston - WAY too expensive.
The only other major decision that has been made is that Trish is going to be my maid of honor. And, despite her insistence that she’s going to get strippers dressed as chickens for my bachelorette party, I’m sure she’ll be a fantastic maid of honor.
In other news…the Snobbies are almost ready to start. We’re very excited for this year’s awards since we had such success last year. Hopefully we’ll get more responses from the winners this year!
