Wedding Invitations

We went and picked out wedding invitations today. Mike picked the design. It’s very classy & black-tie-affair-ish.
We looked through three massive books of invitation samples. Most were pinkish and girly with flowers and hearts and swirly things all over them - clearly not our style. We needed something elegant, but fun. Mike picked a great design. Unfortunately we won’t get to see them until November. Apparently that’s when we’ll get the proof and they’ll place the order so I can send them out at the end of December. Eeek. I hate waiting that long. I guess that’s where Save The Date cards came from - an impatient bride who wanted to send her invitations out 8 months in advance.
